I use my carrier bags for rubbish afterwards. Where's the waste in that? I have to use something....
Tescos have given me a keyfob card which I get points on every time I reuse a bag. I take 325 bags to the store and decant grapes and nuts, one per bag. Obviously irritates the people in the queue a bit, but it's our environment, people. Get with the program.

Right here we go...
Co-op policy changed on the 12th of this month.
Employees had to sign a form which explained the situation.
they are no longer allowed to give carrier bags for less than 5 items.
If a customer asks for them they are only allowed to give an amount suitable to the amount of shopping.
they are encouraged to inform customers of the change and offer them the choice of 1)10p bag for life 2)99p cotton bag or 3)a trolley bag.
This is to come in line with the companies green policy.
hope this explains it a bit for you!
