Has anyone here seen the new and improved Friends Reunited site? Now that it is free will you be using it more(or at all)?
I quite like the new format they have and have already been in touch with one old friend/boyfriend. I am always amazed when on there that a lot of my classmates have never left the estate we grew up on and yet I have moved all around the country and am now living 160 miles away from my home town of Leicester. I hate to be in one place for too long!

It was a good night, but was really a catch up on, are you married, got kids, whether you own a house and how big it is, where is it, what car do you drive, is it fast and expensive, what do you do and how much do you earn.
I suppose that is the nature of these catch ups, to measure how well you have done compared to all the others, but seeing as it was a crap school and I was the only one in my class who actually went to Uni, established a career, travelled and worked abroad, made my millions and enjoyed the benefits of that it all seemed a little trite.
Also, funnily enough, I was the only one who wasnt fat, balding, hadnt married/divorced at least twice, had several children with different women, moved up from chief tea maker to apprentice electrician or come out of the closet since leaving school.
I dont intend to sound snobbish or aloof, I know and appreciate my roots, its just that I dont think many of us had much in common any more!
I shant be revisiting FR, even if it is free.
