I eat a lot of Tic Tacs and have never noticed a problem, but I have just looked at the packaging and they do contain fructose which can have a laxative effect in some people so I think it depends on the person
I'm not certain about Tic Tacs but I know that in other sugar-free sweets there is stuff called phenylalanine and there are warnings on the packets that excessive consumption can have a laxative effect.  I don't know how many sweets counts as excessive!

Ok then thanks guys
Polos work as a laxative - it mentions on the pack about not exceding 24 packs in 24 hours or something.

Thanks. Ive just got to remember not to eat 24 packs of polos in 24 hours then! lol

tic tacs contain sorbitol which does have a laxative effect, food items containing it usually have a warning about eating too much of it but i think you would have to eat rather a lot!  on the other hand, eating anything gets through in the end!
