bought some trout fillets today from S********s....use by 25/5......slit wrapper open...eeeuugghhhh!!....well past sell by date and then some!!....guess it is toast then..

I took 3 things back to the same shop last week. Well, actually 1 thing and 2 boxes because I'd eaten the contents.

Got a full refund of the lot and a �5 voucher 'for having my tea spoiled' .....

ohh no pastafreak, when u bought the trout fillet... did it look fresh?? because sometimes u can tell by the colour of it. what a waste eh? mayb rinse it in cold water might have been better..?

Pasta - cos I'd eaten the contents and didn't like them!!!

Seriously, bought a quiche and 2 Scotch eggs for a couple of salad teas. Both had been frozen and the eggs still were. The quiche was watery and tasteless. So back I went, and took some soft tomatoes with me...

Surprisingly, I wasn't told not to darken their doorstep again and customers services said she'd had lots of stuff returned which a wrongly set chiller had frozen. So, it might seem daft (and a bit cheeky) but my tea was spoiled although edible.

Bought some paints with the �5 voucher too.....

Theres nothing worse than really fancying something to eat when you know its in the fridge/ cupboard and you get it out and the bluddy things out of date !

I had a sausage incident in the week but I ate them despite my doubts at their appearance and was really very sick during the night. I emailed the supermarket and they are sending me a gift voucher after It was established that the food I had left over wasn't viable for testing. I wasnt really expecting anything to be honest but thought I'd complain about something for once.

E-mail,huh??...I think I will do that...I am working the next 4 days,taking the fish back is a bit of a problem!!! (pasta holds nose )

I was watching one of these cookery programmes the other day and the chef on there said that fresh fish or meat should not smell of anything, he said if it smells it's not fresh but the problem here is if you buy prepacked how can you tell.

How right you are,gelda.......and the smell from this fish hit me like a ton of bricks!!!
