Criminal Damage
12 Answers
My son has been charged with criminal damage to a bus window. Two boys that damaged the bus (firing peas!) have admitted to it and accepted a caution but because my son refused because he said he was firing paper they are taking him to court on Thursday this week. There isn't any proof and apparantly the witness statements are all different. Will he be found guilty? He wants to join the police when he leaves school.
Thank you
Angela (desperate mum).
P.S. My son has never been in trouble with the police and has a good reputation.

because he didn't do it. the caution will show up on a police application search. good for him. he probably won't be found guilty, the police that pursued it should be admonished. I hope it gets thrown out of court. If I was charged with any offence at all and offered a caution or court, I'd take court if I was innocent. (*** em. This aing Nigeria.
We live in the Isle of Man and because there is hardly any crime here, they have to be seen doing something. How can you call boys playing on a bus hooligans! (pink-kittens) They didn't even break the window, it just made a small indent. There isn't a CPS here either its just a little man who decides to waste public money. We have a friend who is a sargeant and he told us not to sign the caustion because it would be on his record for the rest of his life and not cleared when he's 18! They lie to you. My son also wanted to join the police force when he left school and now he doesn't because if they can do this to the innocent, god knows what they do to the guilty.
if he goes to court , its 95 percent chance he will , be "convicted 2 , despite ...... plea of non guilty, this as we know will show up as your son "will be known to the police " --- for the wrong reasons , as you said , "if he had accepted " the caution , this "would show up , on future CHECKS" ...... by accepted the Caution, he wouldnt be FINED ...... mind you a lot of people are not really bothered by fines ,,,,,,,
I just thought I would let you know that the police dropped the charges because there wasn't any evidence and after giving them all the chracter references and meeting my son they realised he was a good kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn't fire any peas and he didn't break any windows, so to all of you people who think I am just a mum who is denying the truth, not all parents are stupid! My son is a geek (a lovely one!) who plays the piano and guitar and rings to tell me if the boys he is playing with are getting a bit noisy and asks for a lift home. So thank you to the people who didn't judge him without knowing the truth first, without people like you the world would be in an even greater mess. And to all of you who judged him, I'm so glad we moved from UK to Isle of Man, all these comments have reminded me of how nasty people can be there.
