Anyone watching this programme? What are your toughts so far?
I've only seen the asian family so far, and I have to say, it seems to be all down to the father to decide! The poor lady doesn't want anymore...
I haven't got any myself, but I do want a couple eventually. No more though, as I don't think you can dedicate yourself to them as much, and offer them as much if you have more, both emoptionally and financially.

I think it's just very selfish to have that many kids if you're not very well off. I'm wondering what they think the kids will become? Growing up taking care of younger siblings, through obligation really, not getting any valuable attention, let alone any encouragement? I personaly find this man despicable.
Yes, he probably writes "home" telling them he's got all these kids, but so what? It's just a number, I don't think there is any real quality to it.
In decades past, people had lots of kids because 1/ there was no contraception and 2/ the kids were pretty much the only way the parents would not end up destitutes in old age, not being able to work.
Surely, there is no need for this now???

Hello max, and everyone else :) This was definitely one of those "shout at the TV" programmes!
I kind of think it is a little unethical to have so many children, especially if you don't have the financial ability to support them. I know children are a choice, but as has been said here, how can you give all of your time to so many? Something must have to give....
I wouldn't want kids, not in the world we currently live in. I fret enough for my dog!!

the muslim mans house was a complete mess, but the other peoples houses were very nice and clean and well done out, he spends 400 a week on food, wonder how much money he gets from benefits. made me "laugh" when he said he couldnt get a job to match his qualifications, so get any job, more like he couldnt get a job to match the amount he was scrounging from dss.
God knows if Social Services were watching the muslim guy from Rochdale last night and his wife.......... he got the kids up in the morning for school and half of them had slept the night in their school uniform......... an utter disgrace. Now I know why I work full time - having to pay my taxes to support other people's kids. That said, the other two families did support themselves to all good to them.
