Marty McFly Or Calvin Klein

In the first Back To The Future, Micheal J Fox's character, (Marty) introduces himself as Calvin Klein to his mother when he goes back in time. However, on a number of occasions she refers to him as Marty and as Calvin at others (she even at the end comments on what a nice name Marty is). Is this a glaring continuity error, or am I missing something?

 I dont think so if I remember correctly he doesnt introduce himself as calvin, but after being hit by the car she buts him in her bed, when he wakes up she calls him calvin klein he said why are you calling me that, she said its sewn on your underwear,then he tells her his name is marty and she ends up calling him both names.

She's just confused and a bit nervous.  I think its supposed to be funny
