My name is hyphenated and an airline I deal with refuses to use it which always causes my memory a problem when I use online services. I am told that IATA ban the use of hyphenated names but my dealings with other airlines do not cause a problem. This is not an ego trip but my older memory causes me to automatically use my correct name which always causes a problem with SAS. Any ideas please. Trying to contact IATA is almost impossible.

For me this thread is very educational. Class prejudices are alive and well in Britain - but apparently most strongly so at the bottom end (also called inverse snobbery). Fascinating.
