talking of wedding presents lol

When we get married next year we are thinking of askin people not to give us presents but instead to give donations to Yorkhill Childrens Hospital, where Mr Cat's niece was treated for serious heart problems as a baby.
Do you think thats ok? or will it seem cheeky?

Andy, I'm not that old!!! ;o)
I think you have misunderstood me somewhat.
I think wedding present lists have been around as long as I remember.
What I think is fairly modern (and very rude too!) is the wedding present list going out with the wedding invitation.
I think it is presumptious.
I think it is nice to have a list that you can give to people when they ask what you would like as a present. Not all people (myself included) want to give a present from a list and like to be a bit individual if they can.
