Sadly to kill an animal for no more reason than gratification,
and so slowly too,
whilst ridiculing it and tormenting it ,
is without doubt evil.

Theres no place for it in the 21st century.
I wouldn't pay to see it, but it doesn't bother me.
Firmly against it!
Cruel
there is no need to kill any animal asda and tesco have loads of meat
For once I agree with Legend!

Disgusting practice in the name of 'tradition' and one which the Spanish in this day and age should outlaw.
Yes, now that we have banned fox hunting we can at least say this is a barbaric and cruel 'sport' that should be banned also.

Of course animals get slaughtered every day, but I don't think it should be classed as entertainment.
Death as entertainment is not appealing......I can imagine there is a kind of " beauty " in the "dance" between man and such a magnificent animal ( that could be done now with computer imaging )........but with destruction-or even " just " injury as the end product-and all for mans gratification.....it is really quite sickening.....And is it true that it is seen as a "noble" death for the poor animal???? No such thing.
Well it is meant to be a show of nobility and strength, man versus beast. If it was a fair fight then more matadors would be gored, sadly the bull's are plied with alcohol or drugs to make them drowsey and are often corked as well.

The matador will killl the bull with a sword in most cases, and his assistant will spear a dagger into its brain as a coup de grace. I saw a photo of the daggering on the internet that I was going to tag here but thought better of it, not noble or entertaining by any stretch of the imagination.
Agree with everyone - as pasta says death for entertainment should not be tolerated and has no place in so called civilised society.
Personally I think all matadors should have burning acid thrown on to their faces and those foul Spainards, Portugese and Mexicans who jeer and shout in the auditoriums.

I also love it when a bull manages to stab a matador or runs in to the crowd. I always hop he hurts quite a few of them.

Filthy people, filthy "sport" and what a filthy world we live in when this is classed as entertainment.
