A group of us are going to Paris for New Years but also for a girlfriends 30th birthday on the 1st.  I don't know the social scene of Paris at all but would like to book somewhere nice/classy for dinner but also somewhere we can dance and have a good time.  Any suggestions?

For dinner, I can recommend a restaurant called Sumai.  Sorry don't have the info anymore on what street exactly -- but it was very classy, delicious and moderate - expenisve in price.  Has a huge lounge in the back for drinks.  My husband and I ducked in there one night to get out of the rain and ended up having dinner.  It was very pleasant!
