My mum is an alcoholic, she always spends the little money we have on alcohol leaving me and my little sister with hardly any food. She goes out and get's drunk regualrly and comes back with cuts and bruses all over herself. She doesn't care about us anymore. Is it able for me to get her sectioned?

I think your starting point would be your own doctor or the social services who will be able to point you in the right direction , your mum needs help and so do you both.Have you not got a relative who you could talk too?.g.
They would very rarely section someone for being an alcoholic, there would need to be reason to believe they were a danger to themselves and/or others, and this would mean they had a mental health problem. You really should speak with her doctor, he won't be able to divulge any information about your mum, but at least he can monitor the situation. Why don't you try Social Services and Alcoholics Anonymous who have a branch specifically for teenagers and families of alcoholics. They will be able to offer lots of help. Good luck.
Not sure how old you and your sister are, but you are obviously dependent on your mother, my suggestion would be to contact social services, this is not a nice environment for any of you including your mum, your mum needs help and so do you and your sister...social services are there to support families when in need, this doesnt necessarily mean taking you and your sister away, but they will work with you and help you all get through this...good luck -x-
