how do you get the superscript for "to the power of three", by usingALT +a three digit No. and where can i get a list of all the sub and superscripts? please

I though you use ctrl + shift + 3 to get "to the power of three".  List of shortcuts here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290938

If you want a list of the codes, do Start>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map. You can use loads of "non-keyboard" letters/symbols. Superscript "3" is ALT+0179. Not sure if Answerbank's text box will allow it, but here goes: �.

If you go into word, insert, symbol and click the symbol it tells you the code at the bottom of the window
