Change of home page

My home page in internet explorer ( Vers 6.0 ) has changed to ??G. When I change it to a different page it always reverts back. Since it happened a couple of days ago Internet explorer does not work. ie Clicking on the explorer icon on the desktop does not open the program.

I have a full version of Webroot Spysweeoer on the system which has the home page set on hotmail and does not appear to have recognised the change that has been made. When the system was scanned it found Purityscan and removed it, The problem still exists.

Can anyone help? Thanks

Try running adaware, spybot S&D, antivirus
