Are you a city or country person? Do you like where you live?

Could you do the opposite and move from the country to the city or vice versa?

If you could chose anywhere to live where would you chose, both in your own country and abroad?

I live on the outskirts of a village. I grew up in a small town but no way could I live in a city. I don't like a lot of people on my doorstep as it were (totally anti-social!). I would like to move though because Hampshire is so crowded and full of cars - I love Suffolk, I always feel at home there.
Hey Leg -that was a bizarre thread by anyones standards and I have posted a few in my life lol.

Your home is where the heart is. . .
I live at the seaside, and it's bl00dy brilliant.
Hi tiggerblue, sorry to hear of your cousin's death.
If we were to move to Cyprus it would be one of the Paphos or Polis villages, somewhere that wasn't 'designed' for British only inhabitants.
My family live in Tala and its just like being here but sunny
I come from Northern Cyprus which is slowly becoming commercialised. I'm so used to my creature comforts here in the UK that I don't think I could live in N. Cyprus plus all my friends who I used to visit don't live there anymore.
One of our friends originally lived in Kyrenia before they moved to South Africa. She now lives in Geroskipou, but says that Northern Cyprus is beautiful
hi i live in a village in suffolk lived in the town for the first few months when i first got married but soon moved back once a house came up that we could afford to buy in the village that i grew up in still here just moved about the village a bit over the years as the family grew, first one has now bought his own house down the road and will move out soon like his mum couldnt bear the thought of living in town so he has saved hard to get enough money to be able to buy in the village as the prices are about 40 grand dearer then in town

Hi Jenna,

I am a townie person rather than city. I live in quite a built up area, the planning in this part of my town is awful LOL, but as someone has already said, "home is where the heart is".

There are lovely towns/villages nearby and I am only about 15 minutes from Glasgow, 40 mins from Edinburgh and just over an hour from the seaside so have the best of both worlds.

I would love to live in Doune or Dollar in Scotland, or Paris. Lovely.
hi there,I grew up in a coastal town which was all so on the border with Exmoor national park when the tourists got to much i would happily retreat to the moor and the wide open spaces no to faces to be seen, just a grazing dear or wild rabbit bouncing about. The perfumed breeze scented with heather and gorse was just something to be blessed with.

Now i live in rural Herefordshire, and i am happy do not get me wrong, but it is not the same. ok we have Hereford 15 miles one way, Worcester about the same the other way. We live in the most rural part of the town with rolling views of farms and the malverns looming up in the horizon. wow. but it aint the same!

whent to Birmingham the other day and we could smell the pollution it was rank. no offence brummys but i am not a city girl, i panic in crowded situations and love wide open spaces green fields and trees in the natural environment.
