Best December holiday destinations?

Thinking of going away this December, and was just wondering which were the best destinations for this time of year? I'm looking for lots of sun, not extremely hot, but the usual 'summer holiday' sort of heat.

Any ideas?

Ive had lovely holidays in Goa, Kenya + Eygpt in December. Ive also been to the canaries and the days, although warm, are not 'hot' and i found them very short - dark real early. Trouble is, at that time of year, you need a long flight to get the hot weather.

Tenerife in december is 25 degrees daytime around 16 or 17 at nioght.
just comfortable and only a 4 1/2 hour flight.

I would suggest Goa. Most European countries are too cold for December. December is the dry season for Goa. Far to travel but reasonably priced.

I'd suggest Sharm el Sheikh (Red Sea). It's only 4 hours flying time, reasonably cheap and almost guaranteed sunshine.
