Manchester

Firstly thanks to Jenna and all the other people who helped with my travel plans. And after visiting Manchester last weekend, I really enjoyed it there, there was so much to do and see, and no need even for a car, as public transport, esp the trams were excellent. and I found people friendly I have been wanting to move away from the South for a while now (was born a Northerner) and am considering the possibility of re-locating to Manchester or near? but is it easy to find jobs and somewhere to live etc, where are good places? I am in my 40's and now alone, so it is all a bit daunting, Help?

Jenna I work in secretarial, admin, most of my experience in construction, I would be looking for something cheap and cheerful, but safe and on a tram line, any help gratefully received, still not sure though I can do it on my own, big change and challenge!
