doe's anyone recall a mystery TV series from the 1970s. All I recall of it is it began by a sweep up a long drive with garden ornaments leading to a Hotel or big house. The garden seemed a bit dilapidated or perhaps it was winter. I think it was on a Sunday afternoon and was perhaps aimed at a young audience.

The Secret Garden?

Only a guess, but if I remember, it starts with a young orphaned british girl being sent from india to live with a rich aunt and her first glimpses of the garden were in winter.

Thanks Lofty Lottie. Its not the secret Garden. The programme I remember was set in the present day. I remember one of the characters was a rather large lady/girl, if I can say that without the Pc brigade getting involved.
