Thats impossible to predict, it depends on things like the car, the age of it, size of engine, loads of stuff.
Im in the Midlands. We drove down to Dorset and back on 40 worth last week. Keep the revs below 3000 and the petrol will go further.

just wanted to know on average its a new car (fiesta zetec) 1.6 or 1.8 not sure, cause i know its about 40 to get to bpool and thats only a couple of hours. but cornwall about 4 and half hours. my mates say its not that expensive but i say at least 100 there and back.

where you from in the midlands
Between Worcs and Birmingham.
Mr kola reckons about 60 depending on traffic, whether you go on the motorway, speed, engine etc.
As above, but as an exercise in guesstimation:

Round trip of 550ish miles (including any other driving around)

Fuel costing 1.16ish per litre

Fuel consumption between 7 and 10 miles per litre (32-45 mpg)

Cost between 65 and 90 (or thereabouts)
Question Author
is that one way or back aswell. got to be on one way thats cheap if it is.
That's a round trip.
Question Author
