True actually .I live in Norfolk and used to live very near to the large pea fields which alas are no longer there having been built on. We also had a Birds eye factory where they were processed .Also gone now .However at nightimes the harvesters would be out in force,lights blazing, because it depended when they were ripe for harvesting and subsequent freezing .Have a look here http://uktv.co.uk/food/localfoodhero/region/re gionid/1
that's really interesting shaneystar2. i was just thinking what a load of rubbish - picking peas only at night - but looks like it's true. between answerbank and google i must know so much more than i used to. isn't technology wonderful?
Lol....this was years ago in the seventies when we lived in a small village near the fields.We had no idea this went on at night and nearly jumped out of our skins the first time they harvested.We though WW3 had broken out !
