A room in the halls of residence at Liverpool costs 51 a week, and average in London is 89 a week. Big difference for a student! Is 89 a week expensive? Because would a student be able to earn 90 a week to pay for it, and buy food etc at the same time? It just seems really expensive! Does anyone know any uni's where the halls are cheaper?

Here's a couple of sites for you to look at

I know there are halls that start at about 35 a week. Just type in halls of residence into google and it brings loads up.

Good luck! x

When my grand-daughter went to uni. she found it cheaper to share a house in the town with three friends. They managed to rent a 4-bed. terrace for 200 per week (50 each) and that included water rates, heating, and council tax!  How lucky was she to have chosen and been accepted for Staffordshire Uni.  She is now teaching in London and still shares with one of her Uni friends, but their flat is smaller and much more expensive!  Good job they are both working in decently paid jobs!  Good Luck with your search.
