Didn't have to get up quite so early today - lie in til 6am, yay!!
Lovely day out there again - been out feeding the birds - I think I'll get the chair out and spend the day in the garden. Anyone doing anything nice?
Have a great day whatever you are doing

Hi everyone - glad to see the sun is shining for you. I've just got back from cat-sitting duties for the morning and I had better tackle the ironing before I get outside. More cats to do at tea time so hopefully I will find time in between to use my new garden chair for the first time!
morning bensmum and everyone!!
Its a lovely day here in YORK again.
Am enjoying the weekend after working all week in my new job. Been tiring getting back into it again but its a great feeling to be back working full time again x
Morning :)

Having a quieter one yesterday after a gorgeous sunny day at Blackpool oo then spending time with Mr J's family.

Got to go set my new desk up in our lovely new offices then sort out travel money for our holiday later this week and do the weekly shop, clean the hamster out, washing, ironing and all that.
Oooo , you have a hamster Jenna , they are super little characters :-) xxx
Just had a phone call from my stepfathers alert people saying his medical help alert button had been activated but that they couldn't get any answer on his phone , and could I please go and check on him . I am nearly an hour from him and thought it best if I tried to get in contact with him . Fortunately when I rang , he answered his phone and said he had been in the garden and must have pressed his alarm by mistake and then not heard the phone. I rang the alarm people back to let them know . I just thought it appropriate to share this with you as those of you who saw my thread about him yesterday will understand my initial concern when they rang . xxxxxx
Hello bensmum, and everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your Sundays. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a "normal" relaxed Sunday after 3 years of living like a hermit and frenetically tap-tapping away at my keyboard all weekend to get my work done! So now I am tap-tapping away to you lot instead! :S

Was out last night (also a luxury!) and so I am taking it easy today with a nice dog walk later. I hope everyone has a fab day!

mamma, has your stepfather been unwell? I hope he is OK. And anyway, how are you? And shouldn't the alarm people be the ones to check up on him?
Morning....ummm....afternoon everyone :)

Bensmum, why do you need to get up so early if youre not at work today? I was allowed another lie in today :)

Its nice and sunny for a change here but no garden for me today. We are sorting the bedroom out to make room for babys new cot. The only way I get to spend the day in the bedroom these days lol

I will be watching the Canadian Grand Prix at tea time too. Go the Brits!
bigmamma, Im glad hes ok although no doubt it gave a big dose of panic!

At least you can take some comfort from knowing that the button works and that hes able to go out and enjoy the garden :)
Hi leelapops , he's ok thank you hun:-)
Thank you Psychick , yes , I was relieved when he answered my phone call , and pleased to know the alarm button works and that they do phone me when they can't get in touch with him. :-) xxxxxxx

Glad to hear your stepfather is okay bigmamma. My own mother is only about 5 minutes away by car but she doesn't have one of those emergency alert buttons. I have been wondering whether I should suggest it but knowing what she's like she won't have one. Fortunately her neighbours are pretty good and keep an eye on the oldies in her close. They are a worry when they get older aren't they?
Psychick - I wake naturally early and I can't stay in bed once I'm awake unfortunately! I get lots done in the early mornings especially in the summer when it's nice and cool.
Hello bensmum , they are a good idea , I can't see his neighbours being any good , one side works and is out lot , the other side is an 86 yr old lady . He has meals-on-wheels every day and if his front door wasn't off the latch for them to get in they have the code to his keysafe box on the front wall to get in . xxxxx
