Labour?
Hi everyone, wondered if any one could help. I was woken at 2 this morning with contractions. they were bad enough I couldnt lie in bed, so i got up and walked around, They kept comng from approx 5 mins to 15 mins apart, and seemed to be getting progresivly stronger. I kept trying to put them out of my mind and go back to bed and get some sleep, but i would just start to doze, and it would wake me up again. at 7.30 we started timing them, and they were coming at 8 1/2 mins apart, and strong enough to make me squirm! lasting about 40-50 seconds a time. I then took a couple of paracetamol, and tried then to get some bits done around the house, they didnt stop, but they seemed to blur into one, a bit more like period pains. then by about 10.30 they got evan less, and now ill get mildish ones, but very sporadicoly. They start as if they are going to be severe, but only last about 5-10 secs. Is there any chance this could be the real thing.. or was this morning just really bad braxton hicks.... Im lost and really disheartened. also inbetween 'contractions' the baby is really active.

when are you due?
I was always told that if you think you are getting contractions try and relax in a hot bath. If BHs they will fade away again but contractions will continue.
