Interesting question.....

there basically 2 different ways of doing this

1. record tracks played back from your MD player,

this involves connecting the line-out or the optical-line-out from your MD player into a compatible line-in on your computer and "recording" the tracks onto your computer, this is a really crappy process as it is effectivly recording a recording.

2. buy a PC MD drive. this is a MD drive for your computer, you would then be able to access the files stored on the disks in the same way as if they were stored on a CD or on your hard disk

(you would have to convert these audio files to MP3 to use them on your iPod)

I remember seeing a few of these about bu I have not seen any for a while (may have died out), although there are a few MD walkmans which have a USB connection to allow transfer of data to or from a PC.

I think you may be able to get some info from www.planetminidisk.com

hope this helps
