What is involved in cancelling my TV and Broadband package with Virgin Media? In particular, notice period I am obliged to give/any fees incurred etc

It will say exactly what is required in your contract, you're most likely looking at one month's notice given in writing and if it's before the end of the Contract, to pay them the balance of the Contract.
