YES!!

I used one last time I flew to the States. It's sooo much better than patches or cheweys as it keeps your hands busy too.

Who cares what other people think. If you're a confident person you don't tend to care what other people think as there are more important things in life.
Most smokers are not confident people - they are insecure and that is why they need to smoke. And let's face it - smokers looked very stupid sucking on a burning stick so they obviously don't care what they look like or how badly they smell.

Have you seen this one, Jack?

here, here happy - I know there are an awful lot of people that are trying to give up smoking and this is yet another 'gimmick' to line their pockets.
The government prey on smokers.
If it works then hooray for smokers, they'll be saving money in the long run and bettering their health.
If you're confident to use it then more for you too. It's true - you shouldn't care what people think.
I didn't mean to sound offensive to anyone so I apologise.

good luck to anyone trying to give up - honestly x
No worries JD ;-)

Just wanted to add that I'm not trying to give up as I enjoy it and have done for many years.

Ethel - thats's a ridiculous statement. Exactly what are you basing it on? I started smoking when I was 13 because both my parents smoked and that was the environment I was used to. I'm not saying it's right, but that's how it was for me. Absolutely nothing to do with peer pressure or lack of confidence.
So by your statement I can only assume that you mean anyone who has a slightly addictive personality is lacking in confidence?
So anyone who likes chocolate, coffee or even tea?.....well the UK is a massive tea drinking population. Oh no - WE'RE ALL INSECURE!!!!!!!!
I was a smoker for over 40 years, and like you started smoking young with all my family being smokers.

Most people started smoking to fit in with their friends - after all, the first few cigarettes are absolutely horrid and it has to be worked at.

Smoking is a displacement activity, and smokers smoke more when they are tense, anxious or angry. It is a crutch. Confident people don't need crutches and are able to stop smoking. You will I said 'most smokers' not 'all smokers'.
I see so you base it on personal experience. But don't you see, just because you were insecure or lacking in confidence doesn't mean that the next man is.

One should never generalise nor assume
