Why do we close our eyes when we snog

i am here with my m8 and he asked me why when you snog girls why you always close your eyes i think its quite a gd question to ask thts why im on here askin it coz we can't fidn the answer anywhere else

There is a quote from a film (not sure which one!) which goes "Never trust a man who kisses with their eyes open"!

I think we close our eyes so that we can get lost in the moment and enjoy!

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. If it's just a snog then yes, if it's a snog leading to...other stuff...then I sometimes keep them open

I think our other senses move into overdrive, particlarly taste, touch and smell.

In order to give them full attention, the brain signals the eyes to close, so that the mind can fully appreciate the messsages from the other senses.

That combined with a sense of comfort and well-being does the trick.

i agree with andy and think its to heighten then senses. remove the sense of sight and touch and taste will get better.

but of course, there may always be a bit of imagination floating around there so we need to shut reality out :)
