Hi All
Summer is here and at long last I hear some of you cry. but for me it is the worst thing in the world, I am absolutely terrified of WASPS and BEES. Someone told me about a new product thats out and its something that looks like a wasps nest and that wasps do not invade other wasps territories, well i would love to surround myself with these as i dont want the damn things invading my territory. This product was on the This Morning program but my friend cannot remember what they call it. Please please help

Really do hope you pick up this answer as I was like you up till about 2 years ago. Someone suggested I went to an alternative therapist & she done something called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). You might have seen Paul McKenna perform this on tele in the past, including on GMTV. Anyway, I really did not think for one moment it would help me as my fear was almost out of control but I had two sessions & my fear vanished. The technique involves "tapping" on accupressure points & verbally speaking about your fear. I used to be like a mad woman when a wasp or bee came indoors but now, although I wouldn't be too happy if one landed on me, if one comes indoors or if I'm in the garden & one comes passing by, I'm calm. really!!
Rosiew,
I to am scard of wasps, I freak out, scream, shout and humm with fear when i come accross them. People around me say things like "they wont hurt you" and others are as rude as tut and look at me like a drama queen. I have just passed my driving test and the thought if one came into my car i worry what i will do- I am going to take advice from the person above the thought of being calm when i see one would take lots of pressure away. My boyfriend is terrified of me seeing one a i freak out so much, he pretends its a fly!!!

hello Cupcakes (lovely name!). I know just what you mean by your fear of wasps. As I said in my posting yesterday, I was like some mad woman & my husband always used to say 'stand still & it will go round you' but that was no use as I was out of control with my fear. The same applied to me when I used to drive my car & even in summer months I would never drive with the windows open (even a little bit) as the fear of one coming in freaked me out. Do make enquiries about EFT. I never ever thought it would work for me, thought it was just a fallacy but really it did. I had a wasp in here earlier & I just calmly opened the window & out it went. If you are anywhere near Lincolnshire then I have books on this you would be welcome to borrow. all the best and good luck.
