i got an sv650s as my first bike 3yrs ago now n im still reluctant to part with it! A superb bike! Fast enough off the line n competes with any bike handling wise, yet not intimidating as the v-twin engine is soooo forgiving. Its a superb bike- cannot recommend it highly enough. I been across Europe on it twice and plan to do so again this summer. Go get one!
If that girl comes off, it's gonna smart a bit.
On a more constructive note, I agree with weeal. Although the Fazer is a good all rounder, I don't think the riding position it at all comfy. The bars are too low and too far forward, a bit like a sports bike.
I had to stretch coz I'm just a pathetic bird, but I think if you're not looking for a full blown sports bike, get something with a relaxed riding position.
Thank you. You've been a wonderful audience.
Goodnight

Thanks again all!
Some very cool custom rides out there.
The transalp sounds very interesting though its the sort i'd go for and not one i've heard of.
I wonder if there's a 2008 model?
As for the sea front and all the bad ass bikes, not a bad idea might just do that myself at some point blackpool & knott ends only up the road!
Thanks again, it's all very helpful in aiding me to get my first big bike!
