DVD recorder wont record digital

I have a panasonic dvd recorder E55 and it will not record from my freeview setop box. analouge signals fine, but nothing digital what the hells that all about?

The digital signal is more than likely copy-protected.

You should be able to record digital stuff from your freeview box.  I don't have a DVD recorder but when recording digital to video tape you need to select the AV input first.  Check if there's a similar function on your DVD recorder.

I agree with stoo_pid. Mine works fine when AV2 is selected on the DVD as the input source from the Freeview box. I assume you've got scart leads in all the right places, so to speak?!
