codeine and nausea

Mr M has been prescribed co codamol for headaches associated with neck pain, Doc thinks is a mechanical problem in the neck. But now he has severe nausea on rising and is sometimes sick too. Has anyone suffered this side effect on this medication) I know it is listed , but it tends to be on all drugs)

yes, co codamol makes me woozy and nauseous as well, I was taking it for whip lash, they also gave me another poweful painkiller and diazapan to take with the co codamol, after I took the co codamol I didnt bother with the others because I felt rough with just that alone!

it did relieve the pain though

It might be worth halving the dose and then taking the other half 2 hours later. I have terrible sickness with co-codamol and that is the only way I can stomach it.

I can't take codiene either , I start by feeling sick and dizzy , and then my blood pressure plumets and my pulse drops to below 35bpm , and I collapse.

oh heck well he hasnt taken any since late wednesday but still feels rubbish can it stay in your system for a day or two??
