Growing an aubergine plant

Hi, I am growing an aubergine plant- bought as a young plant (about 12cm tall) from thompson and morgan.
It said on the instructions that it doesnt like getting below 16C, so i've been keeping it indoors on the window sill.
It cant stay indoors forwever as its getting too big (Its about 25cm tall and nce big leaves) and my double glazing doesnt let much UV light in.
I've tried putting it outside on warm days, both in the sun and indirect sun, but everytime it goes out the leaves go all limp and wilty.

Why does it keep going limp, and what can i do?
Has anyone else had this problem?

They like warm conditions and are best grown in a greenhouse in the Uk. You can grow then outside if in a warm sunny spot and protected from the wind but you may find they do not produce much fruit.

It is probably going limp because it has not been outside before and is not used to the direct sunlight and different conditions. If you do not have a greenhouse then you will have to leave it ouside and just see what you get. If you google growing aubergines there are plenty of sites with some good tips.
