author of book where u guessed the title of the book

Does anyone know the author of a book, possibly published in the early to mid 80's in the UK, where the entire book was a series of clues to the title. The cover of the book had honeybees and comb and it seems like there were other "bee" clues throughout the book. The illustrations were beautiful and there was a contest for the first person to figure out the title of the book. I would love to get a copy of this book but can't remember the author.
