I take it you meant custody officer ?

If she going to become a custody officer for the Police or another security agency like G4, then I should imagine that she will be subject to an inhanced CRB check.

An inhanced CRB will show everything.

As it is a motoring conviction rather than a criminal conviction I imagine if her record is clean then she will be alright.

However I would tell her to tell her employers straght away, and excuse the fact that it was a long time ago.

Is it not so that criminal convictions are "spent" after 5 years? which means they don't show on your records, however security jobs usually involve fairly deep checks, unless it's a cowboy outfit. So tell 'em,you may not get the job but you may get the brownie points!!! I hope it works out.
Yes,certain convictions are spent under the ROO act.

Remember though : Every conviction is on record for life, even if spent, and this includes juvenile records as well.

An enahanced CRB check will show everything - Best option TELL THE TRUTH from the start.

Unlike Lee on the apprentice who lied and goy caught !!
