creepy school caretaker concerns...
6 Answers
I would like to know how much access a school caretaker has to office files etc, does he have keys to access pupil information or is that out of his reach?
the reason being ther's a caretaker at my neice's secondary school and she pointed him out to me the other day, well I can see how the girls label him a bit freaky and unnerving. Am sure he's a nice enough guy but in such a position and after past happenings just thought I'd ask you guys out there if anyone knows what exactly he has access to?

However they don't have access to filing cabinets and nowadays most information is stored on computer on the school's information management system. Only a few people have access to this data as it is all security protected. If your niece has any concerns which are backed up by strange behaviour she should speak to her tutor or head of year who would raise it with senior management.
I've been reading some of the comments on the other post with this question and without wishing to add to the judgemental comments about prejudice on you or your niece's part, has your niece, or any of her friends, relayed any specific incidents, or conversations? It's just that I vividly remember all of the girls (including me) at my secondary school, especially between ages 11 and 14, labelling pretty much all of the men working in the school as pervs, weirdos etc.
This is a bit cod-psychology, but looking back I think this was because we found any adult male threatening. Hope you don't find this patronising, but it sometimes just takes one mis-interpreted look to get one girl spooked and she will get the rest of the group whipped into hysteria, and re-imagining past encounters. Same theory goes for all these allegedly lesbian PE teachers in schools!
