Hello, I have just bought a 2000 Peugeot 206 HDI Turbo. It has a shiny black plastic crosshatched dashboard which reflects all sorts of light onto the windscreen so as I am driving I am looking at the road and a reflection of the dashboard thus impairing my vision.

What can I do to mitigate/reduce the reflection?

Thanks

Back in the early 80s I had a couple of Novas which had a light grey dash which reflected badly in the windscreen. I resorted to masking & painting the top with blackboard paint which sorted the problem.
yes alot of us lorry drivers did that brooksy, when it was popular for new trucks to have shiny grey dash boards,
but i think that would be too devaluing in SWEET G'S case, a simple solution, would be to cut and shape some black or other dark colour felt or something similar and attatch to dash with double sided sticky tape, or even blue tack.

Thanks for your answers. I gave the windscreen a good clean inside and out, changed the screen wash to stop it leaving streaks and amended my seat position. That all made a difference and I think I will take Logic's advice as that solution can be undone easily.
