The passenger door does not respond to the remote central locking, and as such the dead lock won't work. Once the key is used or the door is locked from the inside everything works fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last time the plug had just worked loose, but that didn't work this time.PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Firstly, dumb question......have you checked the battery in the key fob.

Secondly, there is a chance the key has been unsynchronised (not sure if this is a word!) with the remote locking. I have a Vauxhall and this happened. I was advised to put the key in the ignition, turn it once and then press the fob on and off and then start the engine. Of course this may vary from make to make but I would call Ford and ask them, ask them how to synchronise the key and remote system, try not to get them to convince you to take it in!!!

Thank you for your answer, but to clarify my problem, the remote works perfectly if the passenger door is manually locked first (either with key or from inside) so I think we can rule out the key fob or battery. Anyone else help??????
I have a simliar problem, only the driver door opens with the remote and the boot with the remote, i can get into the passenger door with the key from the outside, but my biggest problem is my rear doors are deadlocked and wont budge, im a mechanic and have had it on a computer with no luck, im going to pick at a ford technicians bri at the weekend if i have any luck i will pass it on
