i remember a programme as a child which had coloured caterpilar being moved across the screen . anyone have an idea what it was called ?

The one kid's programmes I remember with caterpillars are Dangermouse and Willo the Wisp.

Which years are you looking at?

Was it 'Let's Pretend'? That used to start with a caterpillar being led across the screen on a stick I think, then the presenters would act out a story. Was on in the mid-80's I think.

yes 'lets pretend' thats the 1 i remember watching after morning playgroup , thankyou very much x

There were also 2 spider glove puppets called itsy and bitsy - my ex husband used to have one :)
