I've been wanting my hair permed for a little while now - but not the gigantic poodle-hair-dryer-explosion type; would it be possible/recommended to try an at-home kit or would it be more sensible to go to a hairdresser?
If you do think its possible to get a decent at-home job do you have any tips?
its best to go to a salon if you dont know what your doing ask for a wella perm this will give you nice soft curls that look natural that isnt damaging to your hair
To perm your hair you have to use 'pegs' (plastic rollers). Because of the size of the pegs when you roll them into your hair and apply the perm lotions they kink the hair ends.....this is how the frizz is caused.
In a salon the stylist cuts out the kinks at the finish of the perm......the salon will use professional perm products so its worth having it done in a salon.
