on the radio earlier, they said that your foot is the same length as your arm from your wrist to your elbow.

We all tried it (as you're doing now!) and yes, it is!

I was amazed and wondered if there are other funny measurements lke that!

I know that if you outstretch your arms, you are as tall as they are wide.
Does anyone know of any more?

Stretch apart your thumb and index finger.

Place thumb on chin, the tip of your index finger will reach the top of your forehead.
First to second joint of your thumb is the same as your nose (tip to bridge)
My nose must be huge then - I'm out of proportion

my finger only goes to the bottom of my forehead- am I a freak?
My finger only goes upto my eyebrow. This begs the question - why the long face?

I think Ethel must have meant put your thumb on your nose tip. My finger does touch the top of my forehead

.when I do that. Also, I remember a health visitor telling me that an 18 month old is half the height they will be when they're fully grown. Don't know if it's true but i worked for my eldest. he was 3ft and now he's 6ft!
tut....just done Ethel's test & now I've got tomato sauce all over my chin & forehead... :o)
Just measured and my foot dont equal wrist to elbow

I'll bet I look like a plank doing all this measuring with body parts LOL
i remember the foot/arm thing from Pretty Woman lol
My arm is longer than my foot.
Meaning that I'm out of proportion
