Wheelie Bin Laws?

I live in a cull-de-sac and 4 of the neighbours next door to me never put their wheelie bins back to the rear of their houses even after being emptied. That amounts to 12 in all as we have 3 per household and they litter the pavement causing obstructions. The Council say that they can only ask them to put them at the back, which they have done by letter, but cant force them to. Surely a pavement is a highway and if its obstructed, its an offence? What else can I do, it makes the place look so untidy?

I feel you pain, been there matey! If you tell them they will class you as a interfering neighbour.

Personally you need to hit them where it hurts, at night throw the bins in their front garden or somewhere where it effects them, they will sooner or later get fed up and move them out of the way. You could even set fire to them lol

Or pretend to trip over one and sue the bar stewards
Sounds like the council needs to be tougher. Where I live, we are not allowed to leave the bins out on the pavements. This is enforced by a warning then a fine.

Have you tried asking your neighbours to take their bins in after theyve been emptied?
ask in the law section
Round where I live it is the same as what Pyschick has said.

You cannot leave the bins out !!

I would push them all over, blocking their pathway!!
Im with spaced!, also if you are up for late night shenanigans why not shove the bins down the road so they have to keep going to look for them, they might look after them better if they have to keep going out looking for them
we are not allowed to leave them out either. But they dont have to be at rear of property or anything so your neighbours may just move them onto their front lawn and youd still see them but at least they wont be obstructing
