i just came home from the Sanctuary and must say it was absolutely fantastic, great staff, gorgeous surroundings, tasty food,and no i did not have the nerve to go naked!!!!!! the only thing i found fault with was that it is rather over priced, but i feel wonderful and relaxed,every woman should be treated to a special day at a spa to just unwind and be pampered, i am going to have to say a big thank you to my boss tomorrow as it was a gift from him for all my hard work in the past 6months. :-)xx

Oooooh sounds lovely and I'm very jealous!

Was in Budapest at the weekend and went to the famous baths there.

It wasn't very tourist friendly and they have a rather strange system of doing things - you don't have a key to your own locker, they lock it for you then you have to find them (not easy esp if you don't speak Hungarian) to unlock it.

The thermal baths were single sex, dress code naked as were the massages in a very open room.

Still it was an experience :) Think I might try the Sanctuary next time!

more a question really but what and where is the sanctuary if its that good i might send my wife there as a birthday treat even after having to bye her and my daughter a D.S. as there birthdays are on the same day

Bloody hell, you get spa treatments from your boss?

I'm lucky if I get a brew from mine and an offer of a biscuit past its sell by date when the stocks being rotated on the shelves.

halo Misundrstood, The Sanctuary is an all female spa it is situated in Covent Garden.your wife and daughter would lurve it, there were plenty of mums and daughter,i was lucky in that my boss paid for me and a friend, they are doing a special for the summer, for �99 pp they get a whole day there, a 30min treatment, use of the spa pool, swimming pool, sauna's, unlimited towels and bathrobes, a 30 min sleep retreat which was very very relaxing, a free glass of pimms and lovely dessert, the showers are equipped with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, then the body moisturiser beside your lockers. you get a wrist band that has a waterproof electronic tag on, all they need bring is a swimwear and flip-flops. for an extra �22 pp you get a two course lunch and free soft drink, i can highly recommend the cornfed chicken and roasted vegetables, tasted great and very fresh. so go on and treat them special ladies in your life, they will love you more than they do now. :-)xx
