no puddicat, i gave birth at weekend so had a couple of days off :)

max, when having a pool birth the midwives have a seive ready, just in case.

bigmamma, thats transition isnt it? my midwife told us that she actually got up at that point, pulled her canula out and said she'd go home and come back the next day cos she was tired pmsl

I'm sure JJ, that if you give birth, you would be dressed in immaculate designer clothing, all made up, with a discreet yet classy slave to mop your feverish brow, whilst you give one tiny theatrical push. Then baby would come out all clean and gorgeous, smiling brightly. There, it might even say its first word there and then...."Prada!"

Ach! he just called me back and they're still at home and the contractions haven't got any quicker yet.

She's had a bath, she hasn't slept for 18 hours and she's sitting there in tears :(

Tell him to call the hospital saying the contractions are getting more and more painful and she desperately needs pain relief and rest.
