lonedad, I take your point on board and I have also seen sasha's post, with which I agree. Your situation is markedly different, and from what I saw you received some sensible advice (for what it's worth, a momentary lack of concentration - as long as there were no aggravating factors - drink, drugs, mobile phone, larking about, high speed, racing) is unlikely to result in a prison sentence - and if it is just that, it is unlikely to proceed on the dd - CPS may well accept a due care and attention. However, you make an important point in your post - yes there are shysters out there who will glass someone in a pub and then post on here "I glassed someone and then kicked them 3 times in the head when they were on the floor before half strangling them, but it was self defence cos he called me a ****, although it wasn't my fault I was drunk" - that is the type of post that Sasha was talking about. I think you will find that generally posters in the law section receive good advice.
Whilst I am truly sorry for your situation, I do not think Sasha's very tongue in cheek post was aimed at the likes of you.
