Can anyone tell me please what mostly affects signal strength in a given location. I have a Samsung D900 on O2 and I get a strong signal practically everywhere except on the ground floor of my own home in Sidcup. I have checked with O2 and they say the signal strength in my postcode is excellent. If I go upstairs, it is fine but not on the ground floor. I've had quite a few mobile phones in the past and haven't had the same problem. Is it likely to be the handset which is the problem?

Do you have any wireless routers, or DAB radios, they have been know to mess up mobile phone signals. Try changing the channel number on your router to a 6 rather than 11, this could help. Lee

Thanks Lee. I do have a Netgear wireless router and the transmitter is on the ground floor. I am not sure how to change the channel but will ask my computer technical adviser.
