So here's a question i got asked today by someone,
how come a bird is " dressed" when it has been plucked, but "undressed" when it still has all its feathers ?

actually a chicken without feathers is just a plucked chicken.
To dress a chicken you need to cut a hole round the chickens anus and pull out the intestines, but not cut them else you taint the meat. Then you have to chop the chickens head off and remove all the organs from both cavities. That is what the dressing refers too! Why though, I have no idea, suppose it sounded less vicious than pulling its liver out its arse.
