The only reason kittens cant eat cat food is their stomach organs are not fully developed.....(like a new-born baby being fed steak)!

Adult cats can eat junior/kitten food
Your best bet is to phone a local vets and ask their advice. I think kitten food is much richer than adult food so that the kittens are getting all the nutrients they need to help them grow etc. Does this help??!!
Kitten food should not harm adults but to be on the safe side use one in conjuction with the other eg one meal kitten food next meal adult food.

hi thanks for the answers gonna try them with the food bit by bit, wouldnt be right to waste it so my 2 might as well have it!!
I give kitten food to my old (18 years) cat as she has thyroid problems and is very thin. It has nutrients that kittens need but is also east for her to eat. She has other food as well but it shouldn't hurt your cats.
Kitten (and puppy) food has a higher fat content and vitamins, needed for growth and development. Likewise, senior food has lower fat content and different vitamins. It will not harm to use up what you have, you can change to senior food if your animals are getting overweight..
Mix it in with your current food, so they don't get a concentration of high protein food all at once.
