Does anybody know how the village of Oradour-sur-Glane built up it's population again following the 10/06/44 massacre?

If I understand correctly, it didn't. The ruins of the village were preserved "as a monument to the martyrdom of the village, and as a monument to thousands of other martyrdoms in France, Poland, Russia, China, Burma..."

(Thus said the very first scene in episode 1 of the epic TV series "World At War" (1973))
