According to the obituary in the Daily Telegraph, it was
Muhammad 'Abd al-Rahman 'Abd al-Raouf
'Arafat al-Qudua al-Husseini
and that he adopted the name "Yassir" (a companion of the Prophet Mohammed) in his teens.
