wall ventilation vents
5 Answers
We are having cavity wall insulation installed, and have been told that the air bricks (vents) are no longer required. They will be filled in. Apparently these air vents are now considered a risk, as the air flow could assist a fire. Is this true?

I checked with the installer and air bricks will not be necessary, they will be blocked up, as the cavity wall be filled. Air vent will be kept clear as this allows air to pass through into lounge. (No mention of fire risk!)
